Don't worry your pretty little head if it's a bit quiet around here the rest of the week -- I've gone and left my children for the next few days, tagging along on one of Eric's business trips (finally). We'll be in San Juan, Puerto Rico (in case you want to send flowers or chocolate to me out by the pool -- I'm fairly certain I won't be leaving that spot any time over the course of the week unless under duress).
To be honest, I've never left the kids for more than a dozen or so hours and only one overnight at that, but it's time, the opportunity was there and my mother-in-law was free. She flew out yesterday from Indiana and has been learning our family ropes all of today. I'm anxious, of course, but I know they're in good hands. And, as Jack so eloquently put it (more than once, I dare say), "You're a lot of fun mom, but I need a break from you! I've been with you my whole entire life!" So true -- for the last time we went away without kids was nine years ago this week (to Miami for a babymoon of sorts, and Jack arrived prematurely four weeks later).
Though Eric will have a few meetings (did you know his company has an office there -- actually they have them in probably nearly every city you could ever think to name) he's mostly all mine. Not really sure what we'll say to each other, but I'm sure we'll manage!
So I leave you as well... With wishes for a wonderful week and thoughts of catching up soon... Cheers!
Have a super fun, awesome, romantic trip! Enjoy the warm sun & a cool drink for me too! Can't wait to hear about it when you get back!
