Happy to have stumbled on this Target steal -- a sweet pennant marked down to $2.99! I've wanted one here forever since hanging my Halloween one here well over a year ago. I'm even happier knowing that the Etsy one I planned to splurge on was over $30! And who cares if this has birthday cupcakes as one fabric choice -- cupcakes just make everyone happy!
One can't help feel happy when wearing these gorgeous turquoise earrings! A friend sells jewelry on the cheap (she'd probably prefer the word "inexpensive") at home parties and I love it whenever I receive an invite. Not only was this a happy party, but the next night's was as well at another friend's CAbi trunk show. Moms Nights Out are necessary, don't you know...
I was honestly not very happy at the aforementioned CAbi party when I couldn't read the clothing list (hey, it was pretty dark in that family room that needs better lighting). My girlfriend turned it around when she gifted me these bright pink readers. I'm not giving in to them fully just yet, but they sure do make happy!
Some day I will get my dining room table back, but for now I'm just happy that my boys are happy. (Seriously, boys, you have until Easter...)
I'm happy to tell you that I make the world's best triple chocolate brownies. Honestly. Just whip up some Ghiradelli brownie batter (the kind with the chocolate chips), pour half into a baking dish, add a layer of Hershey bars, then top with the remaining batter. Bake as directed, and when cool, frost with your favorite chocolate frosting recipe (or can -- hee hee). When the Hershey bar hardens (and your arteries), your heart will be so happy! As will your family! Oh, and come to think of it, they're really not triple chocolate brownies since those chocolate chips make them quadruple ones! (For parties, I cut them on the angle into small diamond-shaped pieces, then lay them out on a pretty platter. -- Karen, you have to try this recipe!!!)
My orchids are pretty happy living on my kitchen windowsill, which makes doing dishes the happiest of experiences. (Okay, I lie. But I'm sure we can agree that the plants do look happy there!! -- albeit a little blurry, perhaps!)
Eric's happy that I haven't removed his night time stash. Since we started watching evening shows together after tucking the kids in, he's started collecting food from the pantry for evening snacks. I don't get it myself -- I don't eat after 7 PM, and it's not like the pantry is miles away anyway -- but he likes them within reach, and you know I'd do anything for him... ;) (I am waiting to see how long it takes before he recycles those empty containers -- I'm willing to bet that he wins and I toss them first!)
I am so happy, too, to have discovered these vinyl placemats at [where else] Target! With three young kids in the house, they make post-dinner clean-up a snap! Just a quick wipe or rinse if you've had a spills, and you're good to go! I do miss pretty fabric ones, but know it won't be long before the kids are a little less messy at meal time. Oh, and for the record, they run about $2.99 each and come in a bunch of colors (like the red to the left, which looked pretty at Christmas and Valentine's, and an awesome tan one that resembles the woven linen or burlap fabric that is so trendy nowadays).
So how about you... What's making you happy today?
