Today was 100th Day at the kids' school, and they had fun activities planned throughout to mark it. Both boys had to collect 100 of one item, and both opted for mini marshmallows.
Jack's assignment was to place them in a container inside of a paper bag, and then write about them, leaving secret hints so that his classmates might guess what he'd chosen.
Will's assignment was less clear, with one sheet saying he was to make a display and the other saying to just send in a loose collection. With the health craziness we've faced the past few days, we had no oomph and opted for the latter, especially because it directly mimicked his big brother's pick.
Both boys and their classes played counting and scientific games, making good use of the number 100. Today marks an important day in the school year, leaving only 80 days left to go!
And what about Audrey, you ask? What did her class do to mark such an important day? Well now, I surely couldn't tell you, for she was flat out on our couch running a fever of 101.7F and staying near her trashbag-lined bucket! Oh yes! She is sick again. And so it goes! And so it goes.
PS -- If you are a praying person and so inclined, would you remember my dad? He underwent back surgery today for his lower four discs. It was very similar to Eric's nearly two years ago, and the recovery is long and great. He's in for a long road of pain, PT and rest. Come to think of it... maybe you could say a few for my mom, too! ;)
